DAY #5: Return to Saturn

Aging
By Faerie Maven-Pralou

I see her staring back at me
From the window glass she can see
A reflection of what use to be

Eyes of blue she sees herself
Once so young and full of stealth
Rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes
If she only knew what the future hides

How fast the time seems to go
My creases and my hair of snow
I wouldn’t trade one minute of time
Every adventure was uniquely mine.

So smile when you are feeling old
And remember what we’ve always been told
Life tends to get better with age
Embrace your wrinkles and keep turning the page
